Times are changing.
Technology and
free trade agreements have almost erased national borders. New types of communications and
information technology have created frontiers and radically changed the pace and the way
business is transacted. International commerce is creating more competition
but it is also giving
companies, especially SMEs, more chances to compete against larger ones.
Never before has the global "playing field" become so level and opportunities so abundant. But
what has not
changed are national cultures and the need for personal and trusted relationships.
Washington

We
facilitate business across both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, helping clients
achieve their goals in the global marketplace.
Our mission is to build trade,

industries.

International Business Development
WIBV identifies business opportunities in Japan, North America
and Europe,
providing time-sensitive market intelligence and
the right connections. We report and follow technology trends, assess joint
venture partners and manage projects in both regions. We identify new
business opportunities, points of market entry and provide guidance on
licensing, staffing, technology transfer and financing.
Global Venture Forum
WIBV is the North American Secretariat for
GVF, the international
investment and business development forum held in Osaka every fall. On behalf of the
Osaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and for over 12 years, WIBV has recruited applicants to give business plan
presentations in Japan. Participating technologies include bio-medical,
internet, software, materials and environmental technologies. This unique event has
resulted in numerous firms successfully finding partners for technology transfer,
distribution and finance. Please "click" on the GVF logo for further
information.

Market Research &
Technology Transfer
WIBV assesses products, services and technologies for potential market
acceptance and undertakes strategic comparisons of competitive advantages: products,
prices, distribution and technological factors. For a flavor for the kind of projects we
do, please see our list of past project titles. |
